pois é tal a tristeza que me consome,
que as palavras saem num turbilhão
de letras soltas e algo disforme.
Só sou poeta quando finjo que sofro.
Ah!
apaga a poesia e não me deixa escrever...

Rebirth
Thank you.
Guardian angel, soul mate,
you’re the star that shines
in my never-ending sad sky.
I am blue.
Your words are my fate,
you write all the right lines
that fil me up and get me by.
I grew.
Your light hasn’t come too late;
through words and thoughts and signs
you repaired my wings: now, I can fly.
Guardian angel, soul mate,
you’re the star that shines
in my never-ending sad sky.
I am blue.
Your words are my fate,
you write all the right lines
that fil me up and get me by.
I grew.
Your light hasn’t come too late;
through words and thoughts and signs
you repaired my wings: now, I can fly.
Protect me until it's gone
This pain seems everlasting, no end coming - not soon.
Blinding me, taking my last breath – it’s gone, so far away…
Not even happiness smiles at me with the rise of the moon,
I’ve met the hurt and this deep sadness has come to stay.
No good thoughts can save me from this abysm – how insane!
No nice memories can last without the fall of a tear.
It’s such a horrible feeling; I can’t find any words to explain
the drowning of my lonely heart – so weak, so sad, so sincere…
I feel like I could die of this new bad ache in my chest,
I could drown myself into this river of dirty gray water.
How it would be great to create a safe little nest
where I could find a refugee for this pain that slaughters me.

Sweet surrender
Well, I could be strong and keep my pride
and tell you “wrong, you just lost your tide”.
But I think I’ll forgive you, ‘cant stand this no more;
the truth’s that I need you to bring me back to the shore.
When I watch the moon up in the sky
I wonder if you’re wondering why
would we be alone in the dead of night
when we could turn each others’ world bright.
It’s marvellously odd this thing I’m feeling,
the very thought of you, I find it healing.
My mind flies away when you’re near me,
I shake all over, from my head to my feet.
Could you, please, promise me your love, my dear?
We’ll overcome every trace of sadness and fear.
A smile on your face is what takes me to heaven
but I’d be glad to have you twenty for seven.
and tell you “wrong, you just lost your tide”.
But I think I’ll forgive you, ‘cant stand this no more;

Welcome
Hey there, stranger.
I heard you could use some companie.
You don’t seem so happy, sir.
Or maybe that’s just me…?
Though I have no goods or money
(the taxman’s just gone away),
I have a hand to hold out, honey,
and you are welcome to stay.
I’m not wealthy, my dear
but I receive you with open arms.
Life gives us unhappiness and fear
and we all need good smiles and charms.
Come on in, be my guest,
we’ll chat ‘till the rising Sun.
I promise you I’ll do my best;
just, please, put down that gun!
Don’t give up on this adventure,
you can’t win if you don’t fight!
Who knows what tomorrow brings for sure?
Maybe now you’ll find a bright light.
We could help each other, what do you say?
We could share our dreams, the deepest of our fears.
Let’s believe together that there’s always a way,
let’s be the soft tissue for each others’ tears.

Trying to reach out for reality,
trying to keep my visions apart.
but instead I’m drowning in insanity
‘cause you stole my breath by stealing my heart.
Now I can’t have it back again,
you’re still getting the best of me.
I cry for help, there’s no one here,
and you won’t let my soul go free.
Dreams surround me, faith’s never gone,
illusion haunts my thoughts everytime.
Though on the inside I know I’m still alone,
you keep me locked, I’m on the dead-line.
The sky goes darker and all the light fades away
whenever I consider accepting the truth.
I don’t live here, never have – no way!
My life is through Neverland with you.
trying to keep my visions apart.
but instead I’m drowning in insanity
‘cause you stole my breath by stealing my heart.
Now I can’t have it back again,
you’re still getting the best of me.
I cry for help, there’s no one here,

The sky goes darker and all the light fades away
whenever I consider accepting the truth.
I don’t live here, never have – no way!
My life is through Neverland with you.
I’ve got to tell you – I really do
how I feel addicted to you
and to your very smile.
It’s just so wide and free
and when you open it for me
your happiness shows.
And then I get – oh! – so happy
for you spread it good
and to my face it goes.
And if I ever don’t get to see it,
I’ll just fall apart and crawl and beg
for you to show it again.
I bet you see little diamonds
when you look in the mirror
for your eyes are like the sunlight.
And then I realise with a laugh
that I get to see it each day
right there, in your buttercup face.
And if I ever don’t get to see it,
I’ll just fall apart and crawl and beg
for you to show it again.
So your face is my Garden of Eden,
my sanctuary of peace,
and I need it to breathe, to live…
So, please, don’t even try to hide it,
show it for the world, and for me
and drive me with it, just drive me.
And if I ever don’t get to see it,
I’ll just fall apart – how I fall apart
and crawl and beg and try to get
you to – oh! please – just show it again…
how I feel addicted to you
and to your very smile.
It’s just so wide and free
and when you open it for me
your happiness shows.
And then I get – oh! – so happy
