termina em “assim”,
pelo meio “tem de ser”.
E logo que acabo de a fazer
o céu começa a escurecer
e o meu coração... Ai de mim!

Sei que acabarei por concluir
que mais vale ser feliz,
pelo menos, lutar por sê-lo,
do que viver desta maneira
entre aqui e ali
sem saber por onde ir.

Até alcançar esse ponto
está a minha vida mal conduzida,
a minha paixão, perdida.
A minha alegria, descontente.

A suave maresia
que me alumiava o coração
há-de reaparecer algum dia,
há-de me devolver o espírito,
há-de me estender a mão
e eu hei-de agarrá-la
firmemente, ferozmente
como sempre agarrei.

Sei que em breve encontrarei
a felicidade que me foi tirada
da noite para o dia
ou do dia para a noite,

Como se o brilho das estrelas
no céu de azul aveludado
não chegasse, como se vê-las
não desse à noite o inesperado.

Minha alma era melancolia,
meu coração, inconsolável.
Minha coerência, perdi-a
ao aceitar o inegável.

Ouvindo a suave melodia
que afasta o mal do meu pensamento
consigo transformar em poesia
o que me antes deu dor e desalento.

Senti a lágrima, o pesar, a solidão, o aperto
no peito, a memória, lembrança indefinida.
O lamento, a alegria, o amor, o desconcerto
desta, algo incerta, a que se chama vida.

She loves fairy tales,
